Maid of Honor
Monica Patel
Sister of the Bride
Monica is my younger sister, even though many people think she's older than me or is my twin. We are very close, but have a love-hate relationship. We can't live without each other and when we're together for a certain period of time we end up fighting (usually over clothes). Regardless, I'm still very thankful to have her and couldn't ask for someone better to be my sister. She is always there for me; for example, she surprised me by coming to NYC just for a few hours to visit me the night after we got engaged even though she had a huge test that Monday. She is currently a 2nd year dental student at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA.
Bridesmaids
Ripal Jariwala
Friend of the Bride
Ripal and I have been best friends since 2nd grade. We met at the temple in Atlanta, GA and had to drag our moms together to exchange phone numbers. Ever since then, not only did we become good friends, but so did our families. Ripal is my other sister and I'm very lucky to still have her as a close friend in my life even though we haven't lived in the same city since I moved in 9th grade from Atlanta to Pittsburgh. We have been fortunate enough to have gotten together to celebrate quite a few new years over the past few years together, with our most memorable being the time we went to NYC and saw a freak show with Farrell. She is currently finishing her last year of Pharmacy school and doing rotations in Nashville, TN.
Shannon Cox
Future Sister-in-Law of the Bride
Shannon is Matt's brother's wife. We met when I was a senior in college and have only gotten closer over the past 5 years. Shannon and I laugh and sometimes even complain about how Matt and Ryan are very similar from their looks, the way they walk, and the way they do things. Shannon always knows how to have a good time and is very good about keeping us informed of celebrity gossip. We always have a great time on vacations and family gatherings together. She is currently a kindergarten teacher in Milwaukee, WI, but is looking into switching careers.
Eileen Krepkovich
Friend of the Bride
Eileen and I have been friends since our junior year of high school. We didn't go to the same high school, but met through a mutual friend who I went to the temple with. Eileen and I became much better friends when we ended up going to Case Western Reserve University together for college. We used to always study together, go out dancing together in our free time, and spent many long drives to and from Pittsburgh together. She just recently got married in June and I had the honor of sharing her special day with her. She is currently getting her PhD in Biomedical Engineering at Northwest University in Chicago, IL.
Kristy Batis
Friend of the Bride
Kristy and I have been friends since freshman year of college. We met in our dorm freshmen year (Scholars House). We were one of the five freshmen to live in this "special" house, so we became friends rather quickly and shared many rides home to Pittsburgh. We used to always stay up late and talk about all the crazy people around us. She got married last year in November and I had the pleasure of sharing some special moments with her and her family. She is currently a 2nd grade teacher in Pittsburgh, PA.
Julie Digianantonio
Friend of the Bride
Julie and I met freshman year of college through my roommate at the time, but we didn't end up becoming good friends until we lived with each other in a suite our sophomore year. We were the snack-ers of the suite, so we hit if off really well...eating strawberries with whip cream and nachos all the time. We became closer after college and have had some fun times when we got together in NYC. She has recently moved back to Ohio and is now working in the Field Communications group for Limited Corporation in Columbus, OH.
Sara Coury
Friend of the Bride
Sara and I met sophomore year of high school when I moved to Pittsburgh. We were in many of the honors classes together and hit it off really well. We used to hang out all the time and pretty much saw every movie that came out together. Sara has also been my favorite concert buddy. We never missed a Dave concert in high school and even the first few years of college. Even though we didn't get to see each other very often after we went to college, we have kept in touch and she is still one of my good friends. She is currently a 3rd year law student at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, VA.
Jessica Gross
Friend of the Bride
Jessica and I met sophomore year of high school. We met by sitting next to each other in homeroom and also having all the same honors classes together. We used to have a lot of fun while working together on a lot of group projects, such as the mouse-trap cars and bridges for our physics classes. Four years ago, we were fortunate to be able to go on vacation to the Bahamas together after we graduated thanks to her grandparents for letting us use their timeshare. Last July I was able to share in her special day as she was the first of my close friends to get married. She is currently a 1st year general surgery resident at a hospital in PA close to where she went to undergraduate school.
